We had not played SJR Worksop previously and the game started quite cagey with both teams looking to get the feel of each other.
There was some fantastic individual play by both teams and it took a while for the game to settle. Once it did, Charnock showed their experience having played last season as a group and we put together some lovely passing play, using the full width of the pitch to open up the game 2nd half.

Both our goalkeepers this morning, Neve and Boden did really well in goal. Pulling of some great saves and coming out to close down attackers when needed.
Laiya and Lainey did a great job covering as the last defenders with Harla picking up the midfield role fantastically again this morning.
Eryn was clinical in front of goal and covered so much grass it made us tired just watching her whilst Leonie gets stronger every game, coming so close to scoring this morning.
As the game progressed, we settled in to some nice football and switching between subs, the flow of the game was constant with players knowing what their job was as they switched.
Overall, a good game this morning and worth the trek across to Worksop.

Our 'Girl of the Game' today was Neve. Taking her responsibilities in goal seriously and during the 2nd half, showing loads of confidence to take on players and get the ball moving up the pitch.....Well Done.

Its the 2nd of our Cup games next week and we should hopefully have a full squad with Scarlett back after her illness....get well soon!
