The girls have stepped up training over the summer and we were rewarded!

The girls finished 2nd in the league, with a tight semi final. The girls won on penalties and earned their place in the final.

They went in as the underdogs, with the only game lost in the league being against the other finalists.

The girls dug deep and showed grit and determination, bagging two goals earlier on. They pinned the opposition back and they could not break down our back line.

As the final whistle blew Charnock Ridge were crowned the winners of the Matlock Tournament 2024 for their age group.

A great achievement and so well deserved.

The girl’s smiles were shining as bright as our first piece of silverware we take back to Sheffield.
