Charnock Girls U9s v Wombwell Main Juniors Girls U9s
Saturday 7th March 2020, KO: 10:30am
After last weekend’s wash out, it was decided not to take a risk with this one so we bit the bullet and booked a 3G pitch. It was further to travel and more like a home game for the visitors than us.
It gets harder to write these match reports, with not been able to put the score, goal scorers or anything that indicates the result, you can only say how well the girls have done and I am running out of words to describe how well this group of girls are developing into a great team!
Kate: being a goalkeeper is the hardest position on the pitch and you have stepped into the role and you are really growing each game.
Holly: your strength and determination are a real asset, with your passion to play and how you battle for the ball - keep it up.
Charlotte S: todays Captain and Player of the Match a great performance at the back for such a young player.
Daisy: your confidence on the ball and the energy you have covering all the pitch, again for such a young player is amazing.
Olivia: you are making the role in the middle of the pitch your own - your link up play bringing in others to the game is a pleasure to watch.
Charlotte H: you’re strong and always get stuck in - whether it’s at the back or pushing forward - your hard work is great, keep it up.
We are still waiting for the League to re arrange our last remaining fixture against the Sheffield Steelers team.
I have added a couple of friendlies on Team App - if you haven’t already please confirm availability.
There are also a couple of Tournaments on there as well in the close season, and then we can start to plan for next season and hopefully welcome a few new faces as we step up to 7v7.
Also we hope Leonie has a speedy recovery from her fractured wrist.
Well done everyone today - see you Tuesday
